GOD AND ST. FRANCIS DISCUSSING LAWNS

GOD: Francis, you know all about gardens and nature. What in the world is going on down there? What happened to the dandelions, violets, thistle and stuff I started eons ago? I had a perfect, no-maintenance garden plan. Those plants grow in any type of soil, withstand drought and multiply with abandon. The nectar from the long lasting blossoms attracts butterflies, honey bees and flocks of songbirds. I expected to see a vast garden of colors by now. But all I see are these green rectangles.

ST. FRANCIS: It’s the tribes that settled there, Lord. The Suburbanites. They started calling your flowers “weeds” and went to great lengths to kill them and replace them with grass.

GOD: Grass? But it’s so boring. It’s not colorful. It doesn’t attract butterflies, birds and bees, only grubs and sod worms. It’s temperamental with temperatures. Do these Suburbanites really want all that grass growing there?

ST. FRANCIS: Apparently so, Lord. They go to great pains to grow it and keep it green. They begin each spring by fertilizing grass and poisoning any other plant that crops up in the lawn.

GOD: The spring rains and warm weather probably make grass grow really fast. That must make the Suburbanites happy.

ST. FRANCIS: Apparently not, Lord. As soon as it grows a little, they cut it-sometimes twice a week.

GOD: They cut it? Do they then bale it like hay?

ST. FRANCIS: Not exactly, Lord. Most of them rake it up and put it in bags.

GOD: They bag it? Why? Is it a cash crop? Do they sell it?

ST. FRANCIS: No Sir. Just the opposite. They pay to throw it away.

GOD: Now let me get this straight. They fertilize grass so it will grow. And when it does grow, they cut it off and pay to throw it away?

ST. FRANCIS: Yes, Sir.

GOD: These Suburbanites must be relieved in the summer when we cut back on the rain and turn up the heat. That surely slows the growth and saves them a lot of work.

ST. FRANCIS: You aren’t going to believe this Lord. When the grass stops growing so fast, they drag out hoses and pay more money to water it so they can continue to mow it and pay to get rid of it.

 

GOD: What nonsense. At least they kept some of the trees. That was a sheer stroke of genius, if I do say so myself. The trees grow leaves in the spring to provide beauty and shade in the summer. In the autumn they fall to the ground and form a natural blanket to keep moisture in the soil and protect the trees and bushes. Plus, as they rot, the leaves form compost to enhance the soil. It’s a natural circle of life.

ST. FRANCIS: You better sit down, Lord. The Suburbanites have drawn a new circle. As soon as the leaves fall, they rake them into great piles and pay to have them hauled away.

GOD: No. What do they do to protect the shrub and tree roots in the winter and to keep the soil moist and loose?

ST. FRANCIS: After throwing away the leaves, they go out and buy something which they call mulch. They haul it home and spread it around in place of the leaves.

GOD: And where do they get this mulch?

ST. FRANCIS: They cut down trees and grind them up to make the mulch.

GOD: Enough. I don’t want to think about this anymore. St. Catherine, you’re in charge of the arts. What movie have they scheduled for us tonight?”

ST. CATHERINE: “Dumb and Dumber”, Lord. It’s a really stupid movie about…..

GOD: Never mind, I think I just heard the whole story from St. Francis.

A shift is occurring within the hearts of humanity. We are finding a new passion within and recognizing that who we are counts. “I Am valuable, important and significant. I matter and I have a contribution to make!” This passion is igniting within each of us. This shift is taking place across the world in every town and village and in the hearts of each child, woman and man. A connection is being made one heart to another. In this connection of caring, sharing, giving and receiving, a spark within the heart ignites and grows.

This awakening consciousness has no limits. It is a shift that is taking us all into a higher dimensional awareness; a higher, more aligned way of life. We are “becoming aware of becoming aware.” We are beginning to remember who we are. We are recognizing imbalances in our lives and asking ourselves, “What’s really important to me? What truly makes me happy?”

The answer isn’t found by gaining more of the world outside but in gaining more of the “me” within. In our rush to the top we have left a part of ourselves behind. We have traded respect for competition, kindness for advantage, and giving for taking. We’ve lost touch with our “Inner Guidance,” which always directs us to a higher, more vibrant place. This higher place is a place where cooperation, support and understanding create deeper trust, friendship and compassion. From one way of life toward another.

This transition is not only altering our consciousness, it is changing the world around us. A shift, by definition, is the “movement from one position to another” or a “change in direction.” The third-dimensional world as we have known it is crumbling around us. The old ways were designed by governments and corporations to support and provide well-being to its citizens. These outmoded ways no longer work. All of these systems are deteriorating: governmental, legal, health, social services, education, food quality, political, monetary, protection of the environment, and more. All are broken. But now, when we look a little deeper, we find there is a new passion growing. Individuals, groups, and companies offer new ideas that clean the Earth, recycle waste and create new power sources. More companies offer employee ownership, day care, equal pay and much more.

The creation of Heaven on Earth is unfolding before us. We are at the beginning of this new way of life, not the end. But each of us must awaken now. Each must make the shift within. Many are awake while countless numbers are still fast asleep — but not for long. We will each experience becoming aware in our own unique ways. For some it will be powerful and alive; for others it will be slower and more cautious, but we will all walk a common path. A tool to expand your choices.

 Allow me to offer you an exercise that will rapidly take you down this path. This exercise will interrupt your third-dimensional habits and assist you to remember who you are. First, create a list of words. Pick words that make you feel good. Select words that you would like to be known by in your world. For example: insightful, kind, respectful, purposeful, gracious, gratitude, integrity, dignified, caring or helpful. Make it a long list, choosing words that will help you remember your “Self.” It is within the words that you will awaken. Next, choose four or five of those words that make you feel especially good as you experience them. Try each of them on and see how they feel.

Then, take one word each day for a week and BE that word. Demonstrate this word in every situation and notice how it makes you feel. You will notice that when you become intentional about being the word, you feel more alert, aware, present in the “Now” moment and in charge of yourself on your own terms. If you find you have slipped out of the word, simply smile and become the word once again.

One note of caution however: This exercise produces side-effects that generally lead to feelings of certainty, well-being, command and happiness. Yes, there is a shift occurring and the shift is within you! Jim Self is an international teacher, speaker and author.

Q: I use air fresheners in my home, but have been told I shouldn’t.
Are they bad for my health?

A: It certainly looks like they are. Recent research strongly
suggests that they raise your risk of a number of pulmonary diseases.
Last year researchers found that being exposed to chemicals from air
fresheners as little as once a week may increase your odds of
developing asthma symptoms by 71 percent. And a 2006 study showed
that people with high blood levels of the chemical 1,4
dichlorobenzene commonly found in air fresheners were more likely to
experience a decline in lung function.

Other studies point to a cancer link. University of California,
Berkeley, researchers determined that, when used in small, poorly
ventilated rooms, some air fresheners emit pollutants that create
high levels of formaldehyde, a carcinogen shown to cause cancer in
animals and respiratory irritation in20humans.

Last year, the Natural Resources Defense Council evaluated 14 air
fresheners, 12 of which had varying amounts of phthalates, chemicals
that may affect fertility, cause cancer, and trigger developmental
abnormalities in infants. The NRDC and other environmental groups
filed a petition calling for all air freshener-related products to be
tested for consumer safety and regulated by the government.

I recommend freshening the air by opening windows and eliminating the
sources of unpleasant odors. If you enjoy aromas indoors, opt for
natural items such as a lavender plant, potted herbs, or a bouquet of
fresh flowers.

Between MSG and High Fructose Corn Syrup, the majority of americans are poisoning themselves on a daily basis. These two ingrediants are in nearly everything and with prolonged exposure can do some MAJOR damage to your body.

 I have another article on my blog about HFCS (high fructose corn syrup) you may feel inclined to read. I’m sure you’ve seen the commercials about corn syrup if you live in the US that goes on about how safe it is.

 She states, What? That it’s made of corn? What she doesn’t say is corn syrup itself is so broken down in the process that it has to be rebuilt by man, and is therefore no longer a natural substance.  In fact it’s closer to being a plastic then it is corn. Talk about a major attempt to brainwash the unsuspecting consumer! ~Kat

I wondered if there could be an actual chemical causing the massive obesity epidemic, so did a friend of mine, John Erb.

He was a research assistant at the University of Waterloo in Ontario, Canada, and spent years working for the government.

He made an amazing discovery while going through scientific journals for a book he was writing called “The Slow Poisoning of America”.

In hundreds of studies around the world, scientists were creating obese mice and rats to use in diet or diabetes test studies. No strain of rat or mice is naturally obese, so the scientists have to create them. They make these morbidly obese creatures by injecting them with MSG when they are first born. The MSG triples the amount of insulin the pancreas creates; causing rats (and humans?) to become obese. They even have a title for the fat rodents they create: “MSG-Treated Rats”.

I was shocked too. I went to my kitchen, checking the cupboards and the fridge. MSG was in everything: The Campbell’s soups, the Hostess Doritos, the Lays flavoured potato chips, Top Ramen, Betty Crocker Hamburger Helper, Heinz canned gravy, Swanson frozen prepared meals, Kraft salad dressings, especially the ‘healthy low fat’ ones.

The items that didn’t have MSG marked on the product label had something called ”Hydrolyzed Vegetable Protein”, which is just another name for Monosodium Glutamate.

It was shocking to see just how many of the foods we feed our children everyday are filled with this stuff. They hide MSG under many different names in order to fool those who carefully read the ingredient list, so they don’t catch on. (Other names for MSG: ‘Accent’ – ‘Aginomoto’ – ‘Natural Meet Tenderizer’, etc) But it didn’t stop there. When our family went out to eat, we started asking at the restaurants what menu items had MSG.

Many employees, even the managers, swore they didn’t use MSG. But when we ask for the ingredient list, which they grudgingly provided, sure enough MSG and Hydrolyzed Vegetable Protein were everywhere:

Burger King
McDonalds
Wendy’s
Taco Bell

And every restaurant like: TGIF, Chilis’, Applebees and Denny’s use MSG in abundance.

Kentucky Fried Chicken seemed to be the WORST offender: MSG was in EVERY chicken dish, salad dressing and gravy. No wonder I loved to eat that coating on the skin, their secret spice was MSG.

So, why is MSG in so may of the foods we eat?

Is it a preservative or a vitamin?? Not according to my friend John. In the book he wrote, an expose of the food additive industry called “The Slow Poisoning of America” he said that MSG is added to food for the addictive effect it has on the human body. http://www.spofamerica.com

Even the propaganda website sponsored by the food manufacturers lobby group supporting MSG at: http://www.msgfactscom/facts/msgfact12.html explains that the reason they add it to food is to make people EAT MORE OF THEIR PRODUCTS.

A study of the elderly showed that people eat more of the foods it is added to.The Glutamate Association lobby group says eating more benefits the elderly, but what does it do to the rest of us? ‘Betcha can’t eat just one’, takes on a whole new meaning where MSG is concerned! And we wonder why the nation is overweight?

The MSG manufacturers themselves admit that it addicts people to their products. It makes people choose their product over others, and makes people eat more of it than they would if MSG wasn’t added.

Not only is MSG scientifically proven to cause obesity, it is an addictive substance! Since its introduction into the American food supply fifty years ago, MSG has been added in larger and larger doses to the pre-packaged meals, soups, snacks and fast foods we are tempted to eat everyday.The FDA has set no limits on how much of it can be added to food. They claim it’s safe to eat in any amount. How can they claim it safe when there are hundreds of scientific studies with titles like these? :-

Yes, that last study was not a typo, it WAS written in 1978. Both the “medical research community” and “food manufacturers” have known about MSG’s side effects for decades! Many more studies mentioned in John Erb’s book link MSG to Diabetes, Migraines and headaches, Autism, ADHD and even Alzheimer’s. But what can we do to stop the food manufactures from dumping fattening and addictive MSG into our food supply and causing the obesity epidemic we now see?

Even as you read this, G. W. Bush and his corporate supporters are pushing a Bill through Congress called the “Personal Responsibility in Food Consumption Act” also known as the “Cheeseburger Bill”, this sweeping law bans anyone from suing food manufacturers, sellers and distributors. Even if it comes out that they purposely added an addictive chemical to their foods. Read about it for yourself at: http://www.yahoo.com. The Bill has already been rushed through the House of Representatives, and is due for the same rubber stamp at Senate level. It is important that Bush and his corporate supporters get it through before the media lets everyone know about ‘MSG, the intentional Nicotine for food’.

Several months ago, John Erb took his book and his concerns to one of the highest government health officials in Canada. While sitting in the Government office, the official told him “Sure, I know how bad MSG is, I wouldn’t touch the stuff.” But this top level government official refused to tell the public what he knew.

The big media doesn’t want to tell the public either, fearing legal issues with their advertisers. It seems that the fallout on fast food industry may hurt their profit margin. The food producers and restaurants have been addicting us to their products for years, and now we are paying the price for it. Our children should not be cursed with obesity caused by an addictive food additive. But what can I do about it?… I’m just one voice.

What can I do to stop the poisoning of our children, while our governments are insuring financial protection for the industry that is poisoning us.

This e-mail is going out to everyone I know in an attempt to tell you the truth that the corporate owned politicians and media won’t tell you. The best way you can help to save yourself and your children from this drug-induced epidemic, is to forward this email to everyone. With any luck, it will circle the globe before politicians can pass the legislation protecting those who are poisoning us. The food industry learned a lot from the tobacco industry. Imagine if big tobacco had a bill like this in place before someone blew the whistle on Nicotine?

We the public, do not want to be rats in one giant experiment and we do not approve of food that makes us into a nation of obese, lethargic, addicted sheep, feeding the food industry’s bottom line, while waiting for the heart transplant, diabetic induced amputation, blindness or other obesity induced, life threatening disorders. With your help we can put an end to this poison. Do your part in sending this message out by word of mouth, e-mail or by distribution of this print-out to all your friends all over the world and stop this ‘Slow Poisoning of Mankind’ by the packaged food industry.

Blowing the whistle on MSG is our responsibility, get the word out.

Think of sugar and you think of sugar cane or beets. Extraction of sugar from sugar cane spurred the colonization of the New World. Extraction of sugar from beets was developed during the time of Napoleon so that the French could have sugar in spite of the English trading blockade.

Nobody thinks of sugar when they see a field of corn. Most of us would be surprised to learn that the larger percentage of sweeteners used in processed food comes from corn, not sugar cane or beets.

The process for making the sweetener high fructose corn syrup (HFCS) out of corn was developed in the 1970s. Use of HFCS grew rapidly, from less than three million short tons in 1980 to almost 8 million short tons in 1995. During the late 1990s, use of sugar actually declined as it was eclipsed by HFCS. Today Americans consume more HFCS than sugar.

High-fructose corn syrup (HFCS) is produced by processing corn starch to yield glucose, and then processing the glucose to produce a high percentage of fructose. It all sounds rather simple–white cornstarch is turned into crystal clear syrup. However, the process is actually very complicated. Three different enzymes are needed to break down cornstarch, which is composed of chains of glucose molecules of almost infinite length, into the simple sugars glucose and fructose.

First, cornstarch is treated with alpha-amylase to produce shorter chains of sugars called polysaccharides. Alpha-amylase is industrially produced by a bacterium, usually Bacillus sp. It is purified and then shipped to HFCS manufacturers.

Next, an enzyme called glucoamylase breaks the sugar chains down even further to yield the simple sugar glucose. Unlike alpha-amylase, glucoamylase is produced by Aspergillus, a fungus, in a fermentation vat where one would likely see little balls of Aspergillus floating on the top.

The third enzyme, glucose-isomerase, is very expensive. It converts glucose to a mixture of about 42 percent fructose and 50-52 percent glucose with some other sugars mixed in. While alpha-amylase and glucoamylase are added directly to the slurry, pricey glucose-isomerase is packed into columns and the sugar mixture is then passed over it. Inexpensive alpha-amylase and glucoamylase are used only once, glucose-isomerase is reused until it loses most of its activity.

There are two more steps involved. First is a liquid chromatography step that takes the mixture to 90 percent fructose. Finally, this is back-blended with the original mixture to yield a final concentration of about 55 percent fructose–what the industry calls high fructose corn syrup.

HFCS has the exact same sweetness and taste as an equal amount of sucrose from cane or beet sugar but it is obviously much more complicated to make, involving vats of murky fermenting liquid, fungus and chemical tweaking, all of which take place in one of 16 chemical plants located in the Corn Belt. Yet in spite of all the special enzymes required, HFCS is actually cheaper than sugar. It is also very easy to transport–it’s just piped into tanker trucks. This translates into lower costs and higher profits for food producers.

The development of the HFCS process came at an opportune time for corn growers. Refinements of the partial hydrogenation process had made it possible to get better shortenings and margarines out of soybeans than corn. HFCS took up the slack as demand for corn oil margarine declined. Lysine, an amino acid, can be produced from the corn residue after the glucose is removed. This is the modus operandi of the food conglomerates–break down commodities into their basic components and then put them back together again as processed food.

Today HFCS is used to sweeten jams, condiments like ketchup, and soft drinks. It is also a favorite ingredient in many so-called health foods. Four companies control 85 percent of the $2.6 billion business–Archer Daniels Midland, Cargill, Staley Manufacturing Co. and CPC International. In the mid-1990s, ADM was the object of an FBI probe into price fixing of three products–HFCS, citric acid and lysine–and consumers got a glimpse of the murky world of corporate manipulation.

There’s a couple of other murky things that consumers should know about HFCS. According to a food technology expert, two of the enzymes used, alpha-amylase and glucose-isomerase, are genetically modified to make them more stable. Enzymes are actually very large proteins and through genetic modification specific amino acids in the enzymes are changed or replaced so the enzyme’s “backbone” won’t break down or unfold. This allows the industry to get the enzymes to higher temperatures before they become unstable.

Consumers trying to avoid genetically modified foods should avoid HFCS. It is almost certainly made from genetically modified corn and then it is processed with genetically modified enzymes. I’ve seen some estimates claiming that virtually everything–almost 80 percent–of what we eat today has been genetically modified at some point. Since the use of HFCS is so prevalent in processed foods, those figures may be right.

But there’s another reason to avoid HFCS. Consumers may think that because it contains fructose–which they associate with fruit, which is a natural food–that it is healthier than sugar. A team of investigators at the USDA, led by Dr. Meira Field, has discovered that this just ain’t so.

Sucrose is composed of glucose and fructose. When sugar is given to rats in high amounts, the rats develop multiple health problems, especially when the rats were deficient in certain nutrients, such as copper. The researchers wanted to know whether it was the fructose or the glucose moiety that was causing the problems. So they repeated their studies with two groups of rats, one given high amounts of glucose and one given high amounts of fructose. The glucose group was unaffected but the fructose group had disastrous results. The male rats did not reach adulthood. They had anemia, high cholesterol and heart hypertrophy–that means that their hearts enlarged until they exploded. They also had delayed testicular development. Dr. Field explains that fructose in combination with copper deficiency in the growing animal interferes with collagen production. (Copper deficiency, by the way, is widespread in America.) In a nutshell, the little bodies of the rats just fell apart. The females were not so affected, but they were unable to produce live young.

“The medical profession thinks fructose is better for diabetics than sugar,” says Dr. Field, “but every cell in the body can metabolize glucose. However, all fructose must be metabolized in the liver. The livers of the rats on the high fructose diet looked like the livers of alcoholics, plugged with fat and cirrhotic.”

HFCS contains more fructose than sugar and this fructose is more immediately available because it is not bound up in sucrose. Since the effects of fructose are most severe in the growing organism, we need to think carefully about what kind of sweeteners we give to our children. Fruit juices should be strictly avoided–they are very high in fructose–but so should anything with HFCS.

Interestingly, although HFCS is used in many products aimed at children, it is not used in baby formula, even though it would probably save the manufactueres a few pennies for each can. Do the formula makers know something they aren’t telling us? Pretty murky!

Connecting the Grid, the Importance of your actions

Where there is Love, there is Willingness to Change.

 

Love the Earth as yourself: Love every country, town, humans, animals, plants and the ground as you love yourself. If you cannot feel love, imagine that you feel it, embracing it all, and it will slowly come to you. This act will enhance your love for yourself and the Earth, and change you both, as you and the Earth are One. Earth is part of your light body and your physical body. 

You have energetic circuitries called meridians and layers in and outside your body called the aura, and also does the Earth have layers of interconnected energetic grids inside and around it. You have a flow of energy running through your body, entering your crown running to the bottom of your spine and your feet and out making a closed circle by going into the crown again, this making a shape like a doughnut. You have also a similar circuitry running the other way from your feet and bottom to your crown. This is called a Tube Torus. The Earth poles are similar to the entering points in our body; Life Force energy is streaming from and to the Source, in and out from the entering points. The grids inside and
around the Earth are similar to, the same as your energetic circuitries.

Earth Healer, Light Worker

As you connect with the grids by intending, feeling and visualizing a light connection from your heart to the light layers, and send your love and light to them, you heal Earth and yourself. If you have unserving emotions and thoughts against yourself, other beings or countries, you are damaging both yourself and the Earth. Everything is a part of you. Every being is a cell in your body. Every country is a greater part of you. So if you feel pity, shame, hatred, fear or do not care for a country or a town and the beings in it, you are sending the same destructive emotions towards great parts of yourself.

Frequencies are in this case a combination of energy vibrations, speed, sound and light.

Unserving emotions such as hatred are of a low vibrating, dark and slow frequency, emotions of unconditional love and gratitude are of the highest, fastest vibrating frequencies, radiating clear light. There are grids created of fear, hatred, jealousy, all unserving emotions. And grids blue_planet.jpgcreated of Love. The purpose for light workers is to transform all grids into Love Grids, containing different frequencies, aspects of Love. This you do by transforming yourself into containing only that of Love, by releasing all unserving thought forms and emotions. Every time you have released an issue containing unserving thought forms and emotions, you connect with the grids in and around the Earth, intending to connect with the grids of the collective unconscious, unserving emotions, and you will heal this grid with your own releasing process. When going through the process of accepting, forgiving and loving yourself, you have the key to send this out in the grid, you send healing to everyone having the same issues and emotions. Intend and imagine Perfection, affecting all beings on Earth, and Earth herself.

 

You are One. And when you are aware of this Oneness, imagining and being aware that you and the Earth are One, with the same heart beating, you become even more One. The energetic connections are strengthened. When you focus on these connections to the Source, the Grids and Mother Earth, your thin threads of light are becoming thick ropes, then strong rays of light. Every thing you now do, think and feel, will affect the Grids. When you hate, you send Hate to the Grids. When you Love, you send Love to the Grids. Maybe you think: “If I don’t consciously connect with the Grids, my actions will not affect it”. You are wrong. You are always connected, and whatever you do affects it, consciously or not.

Do you want the world to be better? Consciously connect with the grids and Be and Do better. Transform yourself. Work with yourself, releasing all unserving thought forms and emotions. Love yourself at all times, in all states of Being. Forgive yourself and be patient with yourself. Ask the Divine Beings to help with your Transformation into Unconditional Love. Love without judgement of any kind.
